To the North East of Angkor in the jungle lies Kbal Spean.
It features an elaborately carved riverbed rock, with the waterfall at the top having many carved animal images.
Between July and December there is water, but very little water between January and June.
A day trip here can be combined with Banteay Srei Temple, the Landmine Museum or Shooting Range.
